Inventor of Visual Voicemail sues Verizon, Google and Others

The inventor of visual voicemail, Klausner Technologies Inc., has sued Verizon, Google and others for patent infringement. In anticipation of the lawsuit, Verizon filed another lawsuit in advance asking Klausner's patent to be invalid. Apple had settled a lawsuit with Klausner earlier.
Sprint played it safe and signed a licensing deal with Klausner for visual voicemail on Samsung Instinct even witout getting sued. Interestingly, Sprint Intinct visual voicemail is included in the standard Instinct plans while Verizon is charging $2.99 per month for something they are not even licensed for! Another reason to stay with Sprint (Verizon and AT&T plans for comparable phones cost too much if you consider their extra charges!)
